The first expression that I want to share is '대박', which means 'a big win, a great success, a bit hit'.
It is pronounced 대(Dae) 박(Bak).
Many Korean in 20's and 30's say '대박' as an exclaimanation when they encountered something surprising, unexpected.
Here is an example.
Juyeon and Suji went to Daejeon high school, and they haven't met for years since they graduated.
One day, they came across at the cafe, StarBooks.
Juyeon : 저기 혹시 최수지 맞아요?
Suji : 헐.. 대박 윤주연?
Juyeon: 야 진짜 오랜만이다! 어떻게 여기서 만나?
Suji: 그러니까! 진짜 대박이다.
Juyeon: 와 진짜 대박! 이게 몇년만이야?
